The Breakfast Club, London

The Breakfast Club, Soho, London

On a Sunday, us northerners love a traditional roast dinner, but it appears that the cool kids in London have swapped the meat and gravy with some fancy pancakes. What's the fuss about The Breakfast Club, we wondered? All this hyped up talk about them has made me hungry and on our recent trip to London, we couldn't help but pop ourselves there and munch on the most talked about pancakes in the Country!

This is the type of place that the team at Hero&Cape love to hang out. We appreciate it's little quirks and most importantly, we've got a lot of appreciation for the food! The pancakes, eggs and sausage was cooked to perfection and the little shot of syrup added something naughty to our Sunday lunch. Takes on a whole new meaning to the phrase 'breakfast of champions"

JUST ARRIVED: Hero&Cape Bobble Hat

Hero&Cape hand made bobble beanie hat Hero&Cape hand made bobble beanie hat

We're super excited to bring you the first ever Hero&Cape bobble hat! In keeping with our brand ethos and products, we made sure this hat is as special as all the other Hero&Cape products. Its hand made exclusively for us right here in the UK. Thats right, no sweat shops and no dodgy practice, you won't find a more ethical thing to put on your noggin this side of a fair trade banana!

The hat is a standard beanie/bobble hat size, meaning a circumference of approx 48cm. There is a fair amount of stretch in the hat, meaning even the fat heads at Hero&Cape managed to get it on their heads! So what are you waiting for! Click here to get yours now!

Let's Do A Make-Over!

Our web team has been having sleepless nights fun this past fortnight when they undertook the task of giving our website a bit of a make-over. It is something we've been working on for a while now and we're so pleased to finally say that the new site is now LIVE! Woop woop!

You'll find a more stripped down homepage, we've de-cluttered it. Another decision we took was to lose the hand-drawn logo font, which feels quite strange at the moment because handwritten typeface is our thing, something we've been quite passionate about in the past. But... it was time to grow up and give Hero&Cape a slicker, tidier look (but don't worry, we're still going to be injecting lots of fun with our hand-drawn T-shirt designs!). We're really pleased with it, and hope you are too! Visit the site at www.heroandcape.com and let us know what you think. Feedback (good or bad) is always welcome! We value your feedback and we want your honest opinions!

Keep your eyes peels for more updates! We like to keep things fresh!

We've been working non-stop here at Hero&Cape on the new 90's-inspired T-Shirt SS14 Collection, and have (accidentally) neglected the blog in the process! That is something we are going to be working on this year so keep your eyes peeled for a fresh blog make over and lots of new behind-the-scenes content in to how a small business is run, what our we get up to, getting to know the team a lot more (and of course, exclusive discounts and giveaways!) We also want to work with fashion bloggers more so if you have a blog or you've got a favourite, let us know in the comments!

At the weekend, we took a trip to London to eat lots of amazing food shoot the new lookbook. Well, we are pleased to reveal that the S/S14 look book has been shot and we just can't wait to show you the fruits of our labour in the next fortnight.

Here are two exclusive images from our SS14 photo shoot last weekend. The full look book and collection will be available on Hero&Cape at the end of the month, but if you can't wait that long then sign up to our newsletter and be the first to see our newest collection before it drops on our website!

Hero&Cape At Patty&Bun

Patty&Bun London
patty & bun london review, best burger in london

"No nonsense, fresh, honest, damn tasty burgers with a couple of surprises along the way"

Patty&Bun, James Street, W1U

When in London, do what the Londoners do! For some time now, we have been hearing about Patty&Bun. If it's one thing we like, it is a fellow indie business making good use of the ampersand (and if we're being geeky about it, we share the same amount of syllables. He-ro-and-cape / pat-ty-and-bun.... we were destined to meet!)

On Friday, we met up with one our talented designers, Lee Pitman (have you seen The Golden Fleece T-Shirt he created for us? The intricate illustration was completely drawn by hand). Patty&Bun is one of the best places to eat in London, and have becoming a popular little place if the queues are anything to go by. We were in the queue for an hour but it was 100% worth it. Patty&Bun provided a good atmosphere to chill after a busy week at the studio and the food itself was delicious, I highly recommend the chicken wings! The burger, I admit, isn't the most photogenic little thing but in real life, it was a beauty - I could eat it 'til the end of time! Good portion, full of flavour, and perfectly made.

Keep an eye out new blog posts this week as we give you an insight in to what we got up to whilst we were on a photo shoot trip in London. Can't wait to reveal our new collection, and if you're a fan of the 90's (let's face it, who isn't!) then be sure to stay tuned.
